High-temperature slag discharged from boilers brings great safety hazards, severe dust pollution, and damages subsequent conveying equipment. A slag cooler can efficiently reduce slag temperature, optimize working conditions, minimize dust emission, ensure stable operation of material conveying systems, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Why use a slag cooler for slag  cooling?

The apparatus principally consists of a double-layered hermetic sleeve housing internally fixed helical flights, an optimized material inlet and air-exhaust utility, an intake/discharge water manifold, a heavy-duty transmission subsystem, and a structural steel support base. As the transmission unit drives the entire sleeve setup into rotation, the volatile red-hot slag (up to 1000°C) from the boiler furnace is guided forward along a scientific path by the internal flights. Concurrently, pressurized cooling water circulates uniformly and uninterruptedly through the sealed jacket, while a forced cooling air stream sweeps through the inner chamber in a counter-current vector. This hybrid synergy forces the cascading slag into intensive thermal exchange with both mediums simultaneously, executing a progressive and safe cooling process.

Operating Principle

Slag Cooler for CFB Boiler

High Efficiency & Energy Saving

Stable & Durable

Smart & Flexible

Dual-medium heat exchange with air and water delivers high cooling efficiency. It can use circulating water or industrial water without softening, reducing both investment and operating costs.

Sleeve rotates as one piece, no relative friction – low wear, long life. Conical head and guide plate prevent leakage at source, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Built-in VFD for precise speed control, continuously adjustable slag discharge. Stabilizes bed pressure, adjusts combustion layer, lowers carbon content – adapts to various conditions.
