Fly Ash Pneumatic Conveying System

The fly ash pneumatic conveying system uses compressed air to transport fly ash collected by ESP or baghouse filters to a storage silo through enclosed pipelines. Fully sealed operation ensures zero dust leakage, making it an environmentally friendly solution for dry ash handling in coal-fired power plants.

The system adopts dense-phase (high-concentration) positive pressure technology as the mainstream solution. With a high solids-to-air ratio (30–60 kg/kg) and low conveying velocity, it offers low energy consumption, reduced pipeline wear, and long conveying distance (up to 500 m or more). Key components include: air supply (air compressor and drying/filtration equipment), ash sender/pot (core device that automatically cycles through filling, fluidization, conveying, and purging stages), piping network, storage silo, and PLC-based intelligent control system.

Advantages: dust-free operation, high energy efficiency, intelligent control, flexible and reliable layout. Widely used for conveying fly ash, bed material from CFB boilers, FGD by-products, and other fine powdery materials.
